Heath B. Gilbert, O.D.
Dr. Heath Gilbert joined the practice in 1992. He was born in Dayton where he graduated from Northmont High School. He earned his Doctorate of Optometry degree from The Ohio State University College of Optometry. At Ohio State he was a member of the Sigma Alpha Mu Fraternity. He served an internship in vision therapy and pediatrics at the State University of New York. He also works at the Dayton Veterans Administration as an optometric consultant and serves as an associate professor for The Ohio State University College of Optometry and Illinois College of Optometry.
His areas of expertise are low vision, vision therapy, contact lenses, general practice and the treatment of anterior eye disease. He is presently a member of the Miami Valley Society of Optometrists, the American Optometric Association, the A.O.A low vision section, and a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry. He served as president of the Miami Valley Society of Optometrists in 1999-2000. He was elected and continues to serve the
Ohio Optometric Association Board in October 2004. He lives in Washington township with his wife Rachel and son Avi.
Marc R. Gilbert, O.D.
Dr. Marc Gilbert was born in Dayton and graduated from Meadowdale High School. Dr. Gilbert joined the practice in 1986 after graduating from Illinois College of Optometry, Magna Cum Laude. He also has a bachelor’s degree in biology from California State University. He served an internship in vision therapy and pediatrics at the State University of New York, and had low vision training at the Chicago LightHouse for the Blind. Dr. Gilbert was president of the Miami Valley Society of Optometrists for 1989 – 1991. He is presently a member of the Kettering Rotary Club, Association for Children with Learning Disabilities, a Fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, and a Fellow of the College of Vision Development. He lives in Clayton with his wife, Lori, and their children, Travis and Erica.
Kathy Rudolf, O.D.
Dr. Kathy Rudolf joined the practice in 2009. She grew up in Maryland, graduated from Annapolis High School and has lived in Ohio since 1992. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Pennsylvania State University, a Master of Business administration from Wright State University and earned her Doctoral degree from the Ohio State University College of Optometry, graduating cum laude. During her clinical extern training through Ohio State, Dr. Rudolf received advanced training in the diagnosis and management of ocular disease conditions such as diabetic retinopathy and glaucoma at the Dayton VA Medical Center. She is a member of the Ohio Optometric Association and The American Optometric Association and is a volunteer presenter of the Real Eyes educational program at local elementary schools. She is also a participant in the InfantSee program, which provides a one-time no cost eye and vision assessment for babies 6 to 12 months of age. Dr. Rudolf lives in Yellow Springs with her husband Jon.
